Sally James is a dedicated, passionate yet approachable gastroenterologist.
She has a special interest in inflammatory bowel diseases, functional gut disorders, women’s health and health promotion. Sally’s experience is extensive and encompasses acute and emergency care, the management of complex chronic illness and the promotion of good health and wellbeing through screening and surveillance.
After graduation from University of Melbourne, Sally undertook physician training through St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, followed by Advanced Training in gastroenterology at Concord Hospital Sydney.
These positions in tertiary and quaternary referral centres enabled extensive experience in all areas of complex gastroenterology and hepatology.
For GPs
Sally James practises in the inner east of Melbourne and will accommodate complex chronic illness as well as acute or emergency patients. Waiting times are short and emergencies can be managed safely and efficiently either through the Epworth Health care services in Richmond or Box Hill.
